Some Things Are Just Meant To Be!
In January 2006, Coco was left at St. Matthews Animal Clinic by his owner because she could not care for him anymore. Holly had left my name with the clinic a few weeks prior - just in case they had a small dog that needed a new home.
The day he was left, they called the store and Holly and I arrived there in a flash. Coco spent a few hours in the clinic being checked over and then came to the store to see how we would 'bond'. It was instant and unconditional love at first meeting. He nestled at my feet immediately, loved being in the store and bonded with his new cousin-dog, Happy and Holly.
After a quick on-the-way-home trip to Feeder's Supply and one-of-everything he could possibily want or need we were finally on our way to a new life. Holly said she could hear him singing the old Jefferson's TV show theme song, "Movin On Up" the entire drive home. He settled in immediately and has not left my side since, except for a few sleep-overs at Happy's house when I needed to travel out of town.
He seems to know that he is special and that both of us have found new loves to make our lives complete.
Coco and I would like to thank his previous owner for taking him to a place that would find him a good home and leaving such a wonderful letter about his history and health record. I know she must still grieve her loss of Coco, but I hope she knows in her heart that he is healthy, happy and loved.
